Every year I eagerly await the day that downtown Orlando is overtaken by four legged, tail wagging, happy hounds! It's every pet lover's paradise... dogs, dogs, and more dogs... and even some cats keep up with the canine crowd to raise money for Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, a special place in my heart.

Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando is where I met two boys who became the loves of my life. Putter was a black lab mix and Slider was a white lab/husky mix. If is wasn't for the support of the community to raise funds for Pet Alliance, Putter and Slider would never had existed. I had 10 wonderful years with Slider, but cancer took him too soon. Putter and I spent 15 years of adventure together and he was the best dog in the world.

Now I get to share the hearts and souls of other doggy mommies and daddies every February with Paws in the Park. "Paws in the Park is the premiere fundraising even for Pet Alliance of Great Orlando, Central Florida's oldest and best-known animal welfare agency. All of the funds raised at Paws in the Park support the over 7,000 dogs and cats that will turn to us for shelter, vet care, and love in 2018" said Samantha Hosford, Development Coordinator for Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.

From the quirky to the quick, there's all types of activities for dogs to enjoy. Bring Rover right over to be a pooch in the parade-like walk, splash in the pools, or perhaps a dive off the dock... or what about bobbing for tennis balls? Or get bad to the bone with a doggy tattoo. But the fun isn't just for the four legged. "There are also a variety of delicious food trucks, a beer garden, and Disney Kids and Family Zone providing a variety of fun activities for our younger guests. There is something for everyone at Paws in the Park!" Said Hosford.

So pack up your pack and head out to Paws in the Park and visit our booth, Orlando Canine Country Club (A9), for some pawesome fun! February 10th, 2018 9am-4pm.
